The research I've been working on

Early access. Are you in?

For the Better comes to you bi-weekly with ideas about how and why to build companies focused on human flourishing and stories of the people who are doing it. Other enthusiasms may occasionally appear.

For the past two years, I’ve been working on something I’m looking forward to sharing with you next year. I can’t yet talk about the specifics publicly, so I’ve devised another way to bring you into the loop as collaborators and insiders.

Those of you who have been regular readers of this For The Better newsletter and listeners of The Eric Ries Show podcast, have probably noticed a consistent theme:

how and why to build companies focused on human flourishing

The podcast conversations with world-class technologists, thought leaders, executives, and founders have served as a key part of my R&D. We’ve grappled with questions like:

  • How can we build profitable companies for the long-term benefit of society?

  • How can we create a new ecosystem of trustworthy organizations with limitless potential for growth and a deep commitment to purpose?

  • What are the tools and methods to ensure the next generation of companies are designed to maximize human flourishing for generations?

For the newsletter, I’ve mined academic research and explored the history of remarkable businesses with longevity and outsized returns.

This whole process has unearthed powerful data and success stories that aren’t talked about in the business world and isn’t widely taught. (Unless you’re in Denmark. More on that later.)

I can’t wait any longer to share with you.

If you're interested in early access to the ideas born of all this work, I'll include you in a dedicated email series over the next few weeks to bring you into the loop.
