A Different Kind of Entrepreneurship Conference

The full program is now live for The Lean Startup Conference. We’ve got six days of events to let you learn from and meet other entrepreneurs—and our program, now posted in full online with session details, is unlike any other startup conference. Learn more here about how we chose this unusual lineup of speakers and topics and about our advanced entrepreneurship themes that include:

  • Leading hyper-growth

  • The fine art of experimentation

  • Seriously leveling up tactics like A/B testing

  • Understanding and applying the economic theories that make Lean Startup work

  • The human factors that make Lean Startup hum in any organization

  • How some of the world’s largest companies innovate

  • Lean Startup for mission-driven organizations

  • Getting started with Lean Startup

The program this year includes Ignite Lean Startup on the evening of Sunday, December 8, which means our General Admission ticket gets you into two full days and three nights of events. Register today for the best deal possible (we’ve just released a new batch of discounted tickets).  New benefits for Gold and VIP pass holders. Our VIP pass holders get access to special events, including in-depth workshops and startup site visits, a two-day immersion program specially designed for us by UP Global’s Startup Weekend team, and—just added—entry to Leancamp, a one-day unconference that helps you learn and meet people in a small-group setting. Gold pass holders get access to our workshops and site visits. We have details here on Gold and VIP passes. They’re subject to the same discount schedule as our General Admissions pass, so register today for the best price available.  Meet other attendees; learn from each other. We’ve received strong feedback in the past that you want the conference to include more easy ways to meet and learn from other attendees. So this year, we’re adding a slew of opportunities.  Scholarships available. We want our conference to be accessible to as many people as possible, so we’ve created several scholarship programs. Apply here sooner rather than later for the best chance of being chosen.  Hotel rooms are nearly gone. Our room block at the Fairmont has sold out. We’ve been able to secure a small block of rooms at the Stanford Court Hotel across the street, and we recommend booking now. It will sell out, too.  Don’t forget our free webcasts. This year’s conference gives us a chance to explore advanced topics in entrepreneurship. We’ve been previewing those sessions with webcast conversations, and we have several more great ones coming up:

  • A Conversation with Kent Beck and Eric Ries, November 14. Eric and Kent, a creator of Agile programming, will talk about how product teams work, and how they can work better.

  • Putting the “Lean” in Lean Startup, November 18. Eric Ries and John Shook, CEO of the Lean Enterprise Institute, will talk about the roots of Lean Startup and how understanding those can make you more profitable today.

  • Testing Lean Startup in Education, November 21. Conference co-host Sarah Milstein will talk with Diane Tavenner of Summit Public Schools and Steven Hodas of the New York City Department of Education about what’s worked and what hasn’t in applying Lean Startup in school systems.

Recordings of our past webcasts, which include our recent sessions, Lean Impact: Implementing Lean Startup in Mission-driven Organizations and Lean Analytics for Non-tech Companies, are all posted here.   Register today for The Lean Startup Conference. Last year’s conference sold out. Register today to make sure you can join us this year.  We look forward to seeing you in December.
