Key Info about the Office Optional Livestream

Office Optional is next Tuesday, April 22—just a few days away. This email contains the info you need to log in and get the most out of the event.* Timing. The conference runs from 9a – 6p PT. An overview of the program is posted on our site now, and we’ll share a detailed doc with you on the day of the event.* URL and password. Starting at 8a PT on Tuesday morning, you can log in using the link below. The link takes you to a page on the Office Optional website where you'll be able to view the speakers and chat with other livestreamers; do join the chat, as we’ll post key info there for you throughout the day. We'll run a test Tuesday, April 22 from 8 - 9a PT. Try to log in during that time to ensure all systems are working properly. We’ll help you troubleshoot via the chat room if you have any issues.We recommend that you have a full T1 of bandwidth (at least 1,500 Kbps). For the best streaming experience, plug into an ethernet hardline rather than WiFi, if at all possible.Some companies use a firewall that may not allow for livestream viewing. If you intend to watch from work, check with your sys admin to make sure that won't be a problem.* Recorded videos. You'll get access to the recorded videos after the live event. We'll have our video library up by, at latest, Monday, April 28, and sooner if possible. Watch for an email following the conference with instructions for accessing the video library.* Tweeting. We'll be burning up the Twitter boards on conference day from @OfficeOptional using hashtag #OfficeOptional. If you'd like to share thoughts on speakers or content, feel free to jump in. Be sure to include the hashtag to become part of the discussion thread.* Connect with other attendees.
