It's all coming together
Audiobook done. Bundles live. Tour coming.

It’s all coming together!
I just wrapped recording the audiobook of Incorruptible. While in the studio, I couldn’t help but notice how at home the iridescent foil title on the cover (dreamed up by my long-time design collaborator Marcus Gosling) looked alongside all that intricate audio equipment.
I’m particularly thrilled with such a well-designed cover because Incorruptible is itself about another crucial form of design: company-building. Just as an arresting cover image can make the difference in whether or not a book gains traction and succeeds, the way an organization is built determines its ability to grow and survive long-term.
When it’s done right, organizational structure not only protects a company’s most valuable assets but extends the same kind of flourishing and longevity to everyone it touches.
I wrote Incorruptible to share everything I’ve learned about how and why to build this way. It’s full of stories from my own experiences as an entrepreneur and advisor, studies of companies that have done it right and wrong (and the effects of each choice not just on the organization, but society), and all the tools required to build for true human flourishing.
But Incorruptible is more than just a book for founders. It has something for everyone, including investors, employees, and consumers. It's a guide for anyone who wants to understand why the organizations that govern our lives so often seem to be working against us. It's a toolkit for identifying and supporting the ones that do the opposite. It's a glimpse of what the future can look like.

My publisher is building the Incorruptible book tour itinerary. I always come away from book events amazed by the stories people share with me about what they’re doing, and I’m sure this tour will be no exception.
I’d love to hear where you think I should go. Your city? Someplace else? I’m curious to get your take on locations and any ideas you have about how to make the events accessible and engaging.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Bioneers Conference: The Purpose Pledge
Saturday, March 28 at 4:45pm PT in Berkeley, CA
I’m excited to be participating in the Bioneers Conference, where I’ll join a panel led by Les Szabo, Chief Strategy & Impact Officer at Dr. Bronner’s: The Purpose Pledge: New Visions for Green Business. I write about the Purpose Pledge in Incorruptible as a fantastic example of the kind of mechanism we need to help companies stay true to their values and mission as they become profitable and continue to grow that success. (You can read about the companies that have already signed on here).
Long Now Talk: Incorruptible by Design
Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00 PM PT in San Francisco, CA & Livestream
The Long Now Foundation is hosting me for a fireside chat on the themes of Incorruptible and how they apply to foster long-term thinking and responsibility.
All of our commercial and civic infrastructure is invented by us. That means it can be reinvented.
Today's organizational design choices will either become tomorrow's liberating structures or inherited constraints. How do we architect accountability mechanisms that outlive their creators?
What governance structures remain resilient across generations of technological, economic, and cultural transformation? We’ll explore how building for incorruptibility requires imagining not just the organization we need today, but the institutions that future generations will thank us for creating.
Seattle Startup Day: Opening Keynote Address
Friday, May 15 at 9am PT in Seattle, WA
I’ll be giving the opening day keynote address at Seattle Startup Day, an event I first attended back in 2011 when The Lean Startup was making its way in the world. This time, I’ll be talking about Incorruptible and how companies can fend off the internal and external forces that threaten to destroy the very things that make them so valuable. As Seattle Startup Day organizer Marcelo Calbucci puts it, it’s “not an ethics problem, but a structural one.”
A copy of Incorruptible is included in the price of admission – not to mention the chance to hear from and meet with hundreds of other participants and attendees.
I hope something catches your interest in this list of announcements, offers, and events. Whether you buy the book or sign up for an event or just keep reading the For the Better newsletter, I’m grateful for your support.
Eric
